About Prepping in Practice
Prepping in Practice is about living prepared, not scared. It’s a calm, practical approach to readiness that fits into real life, without panic or drama.
I live on a farm high up in the mountains of northern Spain. The seasons are real here. Weather changes fast, roads can close, and the nearest shop isn’t always close by.
Because of that, I’ve learned to:
- Grow my own food
- Store what we harvest
- Rely on simple tools and skills
- Stay close to nature and pay attention to its signals
This lifestyle isn’t about fear. It’s about respect—for the land, the weather, and the limits of what we can control.
I saw a gap between two worlds:
- People who ignore preparedness completely
- People who feel overwhelmed by extreme, fear-based prepping
Prepping in Practice is my way of offering a middle path: clear, grounded guidance that helps you become more self-reliant, wherever you live.
On this site, you’ll find guides and resources to help you:
- Build realistic food and water reserves
- Create emergency kits that actually match your life
- Improve home safety and resilience
- Learn practical skills you can use every day
Everything is designed to be:
- Actionable – small steps you can start now
- Realistic – focused on likely situations, not fantasy
- Nature-aware – inspired by real conditions, not just theory
I believe good prepping is:
- Practical – start where you are, with what you have
- Nature-connected – learn from the land, weather, and seasons
- Human-centered – about protecting people, not just stockpiling stuff
If this resonates with you, you’re in the right place.
